Over a career that spanned more than six decades, Bob Uecker became one of the most recognizable and beloved voices in American sports. Known for his razor-sharp wit and relentless self-deprecating humor, Uecker transformed a modest career as a Major League backup catcher into an unlikely second act as a national comedian, actor, and legendary broadcaster. To generations of fans, he was simply “Mr. Baseball.”

Filmed over the final three years of his life with remarkable access, this intimate documentary captures Uecker as he reflects on the improbable journey that carried him from the dugouts of Major League Baseball to late-night television, Hollywood, and the broadcast booth of the Milwaukee Brewers – where his voice became synonymous with summer for fans across the Midwest.

Beneath the jokes and tall tales lies a portrait of a uniquely American character whose humility, resilience, and love of the game made him far more than a punchline – he became a cultural institution.

It’s awesome. It’ll break your heart and fill it back up with joy.

It’s a warm, funny, perfectly pitched film. You’ll weep, but you’ll also have a blast.

A strikingly reflective tribute that really packs a punch. UECK smacks it out of the park.
