Michael Vollmann is best known for co-editing (with editor Jeff Gilbert) the 2020 Sundance Grand Prize winning documentary, Boys State for directors Jessie Moss and Amanda McBaine.
His most recent work is Truth to Power, a documentary music feature about Serj Tankian and the band System of a Down for LiveNation.
His first feature documentary was about the 2014 police shooting of Dontre Hamilton, The Blood is at The Doorstep, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in 2017.
In 2019 he was an editor on Red, White and Wasted, a HULU original that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019.
Michael also co-edited the pilot for The Yes Men: Share the Safety for the VICE Network, directed The 414s for CNN Films, which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and was the editor on ESPN Films 30-for-30 MECCA: The Floor.
